Dear parents and carers,

As you are aware sports day is coming up on Thursday 29th June. For this event children in reception to year 6 will be competing in their house teams. Every child is assigned a house. If possible, we would like children to wear house colour tops on this day: Cadbury - Blue Land Rover - Red Spitfire - Yellow During the morning, in their classes, children will take part in a variety of activities, earning points for their house. We would like to invite you to spectate in the afternoon races from 1pm (weather permitting). Please access sports day to the front field via the children centre entrance. Children will take part in traditional races and team games in phases, again earning points for their house Please remember sun cream and drinks if the weather is warm. As requested by some, we will end the day with parents’/carers’ races. Please do join the fun and put yourself forward, but only if you know you are fit enough to do so! Parents will take part at their own risk and school will not be held responsible for any injuries or accidents! We will have 6 lanes available per race. Children will be allowed to go home with parents once the event is finished. Children will return to their classrooms first to collect their belongings and will then be dismissed from their usual exits. Children with siblings should go to the youngest child’s exit. Children can come to school in their P.E kit, please provide sunhat, suncream and plenty of water. Unfortunately, we will have to postpone at short notice if we do see the rain or in excessive heat.
