RE: The Easter Story

• Create a story map to retell the main parts of the Easter Story.
• Make an Easter bonnet and share a photograph of your Easter bonnet with school
• Make an Easter card for your family.
• Complete an Easter Egg Mindful Colouring sheet.
• Plan an Easter Egg Hunt around your home or garden.

SCIENCE:

• Observe and draw the weather for each day over seven days from Sunday to Saturday.  Now imagine that you are the weather presenter.  Write and present a seven day forecast of the weather in Birmingham.  You could ask an adult to video record it and share it with school.
• What animals can you see?  Draw a picture of a pet in your home and label the different parts of its body (e.g. eyes, ears, legs, paws, fur, fin, scales etc).  If you do not have a pet, you could look outside in your garden for birds, squirrels or cats.  Or watch a nature programme on the TV and draw the animal that you can see.

HISTORY:  Create your very own time capsule.

You are making history at the moment and in many years to come, children will learn about the UK and the world during the Coronavirus Pandemic of 2020.  Create a time capsule of your life during the Coronavirus lockdown.  Here are some ideas that you could include in your time capsule:

• Make drawings of activities that you have done.
• Write a daily diary entry of things that have happened in the day and include your thoughts.
• Create a hand print in salt dough and paint it.
• Make up your own song or nursery rhyme.
• Write a ‘Sound Collector’ poem – What can you hear in your home?  What can you hear in the garden?
• Add other items of your choice – be creative and imaginative!
• Don’t forget to decorate, label and date your time capsule.
