A visit from Tesla
We had a very exciting day this week when three Tesla technicians came to visit us. We learned lots about sustainability and how they are trying to reduce the use of fossil fuels. They also showed us how they use the design thinking process to solve problems, just like we do in DT! We then got to go outside and go inside two different Tesla cars. We saw all of their interesting features and had great fun! Afterwards, we all took part in a design competition to add a new feature!
Water Street workshop with Severn Trent
The Water Street workshop revisited learning about the water cycle and ways to conserve water. It’s also linked really well to our Eco-schools project! This workshop gave an interactive insight into the water cycle and Severn Trent’s journey of water.
The class were given different scenarios and showed how they can save rather than waste water.
World Book Day 2024
The children in year Four were visited by Mrs McConnell who enjoyed sharing a story with the children linked to our environmental theme called 'The Last Wolf'. The children also enjoyed reading books to the children in the Reception class. Mrs Higgins was joined by many tiger cubs!
Amazing Science
The children in Year Four have been learning about the digestive system. Take a look a the class discovering how the food gets processed after we have eaten.
Unfortunately not the ones with chocolate chips.
