"To start our children on the pathway of learning that develops their full potential within school and the wider community."
Our Motto :
“Strive for excellence”
1. To provide a broad range of educational experiences and activities to help prepare each child for a successful adult life.
2. To provide a secure, well-disciplined, caring and friendly environment.
3. To foster the children's self-respect and consideration for others and for their environment.
4. To involve parents, local schools and the wider community in a mutually beneficial relationship.
In order to create and maintain a positive community atmosphere, where everyone feels happy, safe and secure, and pupils are supported to become positive, responsible and increasingly independent members of society, all pupils, parents and staff at Gunter are expected to demonstrate commitment to the following principles that underpin our core values:
Finding out and exploring: we will not be afraid to take risks in our quest to acquire deeper knowledge and understanding, and will be active, reflective participants in all stages of the learning process.
Creativity and thinking critically: we will be proud to be unique individuals with analytical, problem solving minds.
Understanding others: we will show compassion and empathy, alongside a willingness to work collaboratively with others.
Motivation and determination: we will be resilient learners who show perseverance and positivity when faced with a challenge. Our self-belief will only be exceeded by our own aspirations.
In addition, we will seek to understand and demonstrate the fundamental British Values of democracy, the rule of law, individual liberty and mutual respect and tolerance of those with different faiths and beliefs.
